Birthday Challenge Midnight! Due to judicious rule breaking we had 16 entries in the SMHB Birthday Challenge (that’s more than both dog-a-palooza and the NDH challenge put together). There’s no formal judging criteria but I think we can safely rule out anything with disgusto meat in it. My own personal vote is for pie since I’m biased towards confections though this dirty face is pretty cute. What do you guys think? 7 comments to Birthday Challenge |

Well, being completely unbiased of course, and ruling out meat, Blueberry Blazes is a clear winner. Though Uncle Steve and the other ribs, is also a contender.
The no meat rule-out is just my opinion, not an official exclusion criteria.
And the other ribs shot I considered but it reminded me of this photo of Sarah Palin from the NYT so I didn’t go with that.
Uncle Steve and Posse should also be a contender. As much as I hate to admit it, I think it’s Blueberry Blazes though.
Three-oh for blueberries gives that the win. I’ve swapped it in as the new header to celebrate.

Prize part #1 was getting blueberry pie. Part #2 was the header.
