Maija and I went out to Land’s End tonight instead of running. These hawks were incredible, screaming into the wind, hunting for dinner. I think the guy on the right is banded – but that said, I almost don’t think they should be getting our best tag – there was really nothing urban about these two.

Yeah I saw that article – that guy has some awesome shots. I think I need a little more practice to photograph these guys well. Shooting them against the sky without getting a silhouette effect involves both a pretty high shutter speed and a more open aperture than the camera wants.
